You will find the most beautiful teak tables at TEAK2!! 😉 You can find them all in the webshop, a wide range teak dining tables. Both sturdy wooden tables with metal base as industrial, rustic or modern can be found at TEAK2 furniture store. In addition to the different styles, the dimensions are also extremely important. Do you have the space? Then always go for the largest table possible, which is very handy if you often have friends or family over. In most cases, a table is always too small. Is the space somewhat limited? TEAK2 has a size for every space.
Square table or rectangular?
The different models can sometimes make the choice a little more difficult, and each model has its pros and cons. The most popular shape is still the rectangular table. This shape is timeless and, above all, very functional. Most rooms are also built for a rectangular dining table. Is the space a little more limited? Then a round table can be super handy! Square tables take up a little more space, but offer a huge amount of space on the tabletop. Just like with a round table, you sit directly opposite each other, making square or round tables the most cozy choice.
Round table or oval?
Round or oval tables are becoming increasingly popular, as they immediately exude exclusivity. Round tables are space-saving and look less bulky or large, which is also the case with oval dining tables. The round table is 100% cozy, as you always sit opposite each other when dining, making it much more intimate. The oval table exudes exclusivity; its distinctive shape does not look clumsy, but still offers plenty of space.
Keep in mind that an oval always looks smaller. The practical space is often slightly smaller because the sides taper, leaving less space on those sides. So our tip is: always go for the largest oval table possible! They often look smaller than they actually are, and customers are often very happy when they choose an oval table that isn't too small.
How many chairs fit at a table?
Now for the big question: how many chairs can fit around a table? This depends greatly on the type of chair, but generally speaking, you should allow 60 cm of space per person. This is not the actual width of the chair, but the space the chair needs around it to be comfortable. Of course, this also depends greatly on the model of chair. Does the chair have armrests? If so, the chair will in most cases be wider than a dining chair without armrests.
We at TEAK2 have created a diagram showing how many chairs you can potentially place, but this is purely for illustrative purposes. As you can see in the diagram, it is not only the dimensions of the table This quantity is important, but the shape is also extremely important. Discover the range in the webshop!
